Production

MrHehon (Ian Clayton) is joint owner and head engineer of Montesa Audio residential recording studio in Valencia Spain. He has lived most of his life in the Brighton area, but now resides in Montesa Spain.

He has played keyboards and guitar in pop/rock bands for over 20 years as well as producing and engineering for many bands and artists of all genres. He spent 10 years as a lecturer and course leader of music technology, teaching several subjects including sound design, music production and business from ND to degree level.

He has always had a fascination with the use of computers in the world of music production, starting in the 1980’s with a Sinclair spectrum linked to a Roland drum machine and Casio synth via midi. This interest combined with a love of song writing and music production resulted in some interesting music collaborations during the 1990’s.

Ian took a break from song writing during his time teaching due to time constraints but has now found the time to once again indulge in his passion of writing and producing.
